Reel It In!
For World Oceans Day, McDonalds announced that their Filet-O-Fish would be made from 100% sustainable fishing. To get the word out, we created a family-friendly card game inspired by Go Fish that illustrates the importance of fishing sustainably in a fun way.
And yes, there were aquatic-themed puns throughout.
Gameplay
Reel It In! is a cooperative card game designed to encourage communication and agreement among players. The objective of the game is to make as many pairs as possible without depleting the ocean. And just like sustainable fishing, we all have to work together.
The game consists of both fish cards and "Keep Oceans Healthy" cards, which serve as a warning that the supply of fish is depleting. If too many KOH cards are drawn among the players, the game ends and everyone loses. Only with cooperation and strategy can the group win while the person with the most pairs emerges as individual winner.
